Prepare, Share, and Shop Dahlias with the Carolinas Dahlia Society!
Mark your calendars for April 12th as we come together at Bullington Gardens for our annual Tuber Prep & Member Sale Day! This hands-on event is essential for our members and a fantastic way to connect, prepare for the growing season, and access some amazing tuber varieties.
What to Expect
- Tuber Preparation Workshop: Learn the best techniques for dividing, labeling, and preparing dahlia tubers for planting or sale. This is a great opportunity for beginners to learn and for seasoned growers to sharpen their skills.
- Volunteer Opportunity: Help with sorting, bagging, and labeling tubers to ensure a smooth sale process. It’s a great way to give back and connect with other members.
- Member Sale: Be the first to shop from a wide selection of dahlia tubers before they go to the public sale in May. Members receive exclusive discounts and early access to varieties!
- Pricing: Tubers are $5 each, with a limit of two per variety to ensure fair distribution.
What to Bring
- Bring tubers to donate and receive 3 free tubers
- Tools for dividing and labeling, such as sharp knives, pruning shears, and marker pens.
- Your enthusiasm for dahlias and willingness to lend a hand!
Lunch will be provided by the Society for all volunteers and participants. Enjoy a delicious meal with drinks included as a thank-you for your hard work and dedication.
