Dahlia Club Meeting
Where: Balsam Baptist Church youth building, 105 Heavenly Rd., Sylva NC 28707.
Our first meeting of the year. This will be the bagging/prep meeting for the public tuber sale and the members-only sale at a reduced price and of course first choice. Also, if you bring three good tubers of a named variety you can trade those for three of your choice.
We plan to start at about 9 am. If you have questions you can call 828-507-5799. Hope to see you there!

Annual Tuber Sale
Where: Haywood County Extension Office building, 589 Raccoon Rd, Waynesville NC 28786
When: 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
This is the public tuber sale. If you buy tubers at the sale (5/14), you could harvest blooms like this young man. We have a good inventory of all sizes, forms and colors and all tubers are still just
$ 5.00. Spread the word and hope to see you there!
RSVP: Please bring a side of your choice and join us. Also please let us know if you are coming so we’ll know how much to buy.

PS: Same location as the tuber prep but the dahlias are on the opposite side of the church.

Dahlia Club Meeting
First: Johnny Trantham’s garden

Second: Balsam Baptist Church youth building, 105 Heavenly Rd., Sylva NC 28707.
When: 10:30 am
The CDS July meeting will be on the ninth beginning at about 10:30 at Johnny Trantham’s garden. Johnny has a great assortment of forms and sizes and most should be in bloom by meeting time.
We will leave there and go to Balsam Baptist Church. This will be a small garden of balls and seedlings. We will then have lunch with chicken and coleslaw provided.

Judges Training
Per Buddy Dean: the August meeting will be on the 13th at Johnny Trantham’s residence at 91 Virginia Ave… Canton 28716. This is the judges training meeting and will begin at 10 AM. Please note that you do not have to be a judge to attend and everyone is welcome. Lunch will be on your own or bring a bag lunch. Hope to see you there!
September 9-11 2022
The show
Buddy would like to do the show set up on Friday morning and then you can stage as soon as it is ready. We plan to move everything needed from the storage building on Thursday and start about 9 so if you can help it would be greatly appreciated.
Open to the Public: Saturday from 12 to 5 and Sunday from 11 till 2.

Awards and end of year meeting
Where: Shoney’s Restaurant,
meeting room, 3334 Asheville Rd, Waynesville NC
When: 11:00 am to 2:00 pm
This will be the annual business meeting and show wrap up. This is also dues renewal time.
December 3 2022
Christmas
This will be our Christmas dinner with the meat and sweet tea provided by the CDS. Bring a side dish and a dessert of your choice, the meat is ham.
